Is there something that you are struggling with laying before Christ?
Something that you are holding on to really tightly?
Something that is getting in the way of you giving your best to God?
If there is I encourage you to lay it before the cross. Give it over to God, and put God first. Let me know what happens, because it will change your life.
Read Luke 18:18-29
Jesus is not saying that having stuff is wrong, but He is saying letting that stuff get in the way of worship is wrong.
The greatest part is, if we give up everything, God will provided us with exactly what we need, and very often SO MUCH MORE. Give up "friends," God will give you true community. Give up a relationship, God will give you true love. Give up success, God will redefine success in your life. It is amazing what God can do! What is He doing in you?
i have a question, how do we give up friends?
ReplyDeletei mean are we just supposed to say i can't be friends with you anymore kinda like saying you got layed off your job or something, or do we just not talk to them. i don't get it. this may sound stupid to you, but i would really like to know.
