Oasis News

Oasis has been rescheduled for Tuesday June 30th, due to a conflict (Whitney and I are buying a house and moving this week.) It will be a water Oasis. Please wear old clothes that can be destroyed, a one piece bathing suit, with a tshirt and appropriate length shorts (fingertip). You will also need shoes that can get wet or you can go barefoot (not really recommended). Thank you so much for your patience and understanding. This is going to be awesome.

Devotional Thought

The Widow we talked about last night gave all she had to live on... everything she had she dropped before God. If God is going to do something amazing in our lives, we have to lay everything before Him.

Is there something that you are struggling with laying before Christ?
Something that you are holding on to really tightly?
Something that is getting in the way of you giving your best to God?
If there is I encourage you to lay it before the cross. Give it over to God, and put God first. Let me know what happens, because it will change your life.
Read Luke 18:18-29
Jesus is not saying that having stuff is wrong, but He is saying letting that stuff get in the way of worship is wrong.
The greatest part is, if we give up everything, God will provided us with exactly what we need, and very often SO MUCH MORE. Give up "friends," God will give you true community. Give up a relationship, God will give you true love. Give up success, God will redefine success in your life. It is amazing what God can do! What is He doing in you?

Stretch

What are you doing to be stretched by God?
How is God stretching you?

How to Twitter

Step 1: Go to: https://twitter.com/signup: Go to: https://twitter.com/signup

On the Create a Free Twitter Account Page:

-select a username and password

-enter your e-mail address

-enter the code you see in the box

-click on “I accept. Create my account” at the bottom

You can skip the find friends part (hit the “skip” in the top right of
page)

Step 2: Click on “settings” at the top and then under “accounts”
change the time zone to Central Time
Then click on “devices”

-Enter your 10 digit cell phone number and check the box that
says Twitter can send texts to you then click “save”

Step 3: Then you will need to verify your phone number by texting the code it gives you to the number it provides. Within a few minutes you will get a verification text.

Step 4: Go to http://www.twitter.com/three18.

Step 5: Login again, click “follow” and make sure device updates are set to “on” or you will not get texts from us.

You are now signed up to receive texts from us! Feel free to look at
the different settings so you can change things if you want. There are a lot of options.

A few things to know: If you begin adding others to the list of people you follow you will receive texts from them even if they aren’t sending something directly to you. Like if Joe sends a reply to someone else (not you) but you follow Joe you will receive that text that has nothing to do with you. This is important to know for privacy and because standard text message rates apply.

We can’t receive any replies you send to us, so don’t bother. If you have a question or need something call or facebook message a student ministry worker.

Standard text rates apply!! Make sure you know this!
